Bluebonnets!

Lady Bird Johnson wildlife center has a great new family garden area. We visited today and enjoyed the seasonal bluebonnets.

Christian Turns 1!

3/7/15 started off a lot calmer than 3/7/14! Mom, Dad, & C loaded up the car and headed over to the Austin Children's Museum aka "the Thinkery". If you're local and haven't gone, you should, it's amazing and fun for all ages including 45 year old IT professionals. Aunt Jodi & Uncle Evan flew in from Sacramento to join us and we also had Grandma Jody, Uncle Steve, Aunt Emily in attendance, along with many other special friends and loved ones. A fun time was had by all, especially our little one year old Birthday boy who had CAKE for the first time and promptly spit it out... guess he's used to all of the healthy food his Mom feeds him... plenty of years ahead to develop that taste, C! 😉

Christian’s First Haircut!

With Christian's 1st Birthday fast approaching, we decided it was high time to hit the baby barbershop for his very 1st haircut!

Great weekend to play in the park!

West Austin Neighborhood Park.

Saturday we headed to West Austin Neighborhood Park. With a fenced in doggie area, toddler play area, swing set, picnic tables, a pool and a couple large grassy areas, it had something for all of us! After 10 days of cold, rainy weather, Christian, Kodi and especially mommy, we thrilled to be outside!

Kodi was on his best behavior and Christian laughed as he watched all the doggies play. Even with a couple new top teeth causing a bit of discomfort, Christian enjoyed the swings and of course playing in the dirt. His new favorite face is fish lips, especially while eating. Emily and Elly joined us. Great day!

An afternoon at Mueller

Sunday we ventured to the East side of Austin to meet Roman, Max, Jae and Brook at Mueller. We took advantage of the farmer's market and then strolled around the lake. Perfect day to be outside! Christian and Roman visited and caught up on the latest news as it had been a few weeks since they'd seen each other. Roman's hair is fabulous and he has a bunch of teeth! Christian is sporting 4 teeth and some front curls.

Max & Kodi stood guard and chomped on some treats from the Farmer's market. Another perfect day!

Happy Holidays from Jayne, Bruce, & Christian!

We are so grateful to Grammy Ann, Aunt Jodi, & Uncle Evan for flying down to Austin to celebrate Christmas with us this year! We also had a chance to catch up with Grandma Jody, Auntie Lee, Uncle Michael, and Grandmother Wanda. Christian had a great time opening all of his presents and asked us to thank everyone who helped make his first Christmas so magical!

Christian’s Day Care Christmas Party!

Mom & Dad joined C and his whole crew at day care for their Christmas Party Extravaganza! If the pictures look a little blurry, it's probably because the kids were hopped up on Christmas cookies and an overabundance of holiday cheer!

November 2014 – Christian’s recap

November was a busy month. I turned 8 months.

The weather in Austin started off unseasonably warm and we spent time in the backyard on our new chairs. Finally it cooled off just in time for Auntie Leslie to visit. Perfect nap weather for all of us including the cats. Auntie Leslie and mommy tried to be creative and use my hand to make Santa Christmas ornaments.

Mommy, daddy and I traveled to Marshfield to visit Grammy for Thanksgiving week. Grammy gave me a new bear outfit to wear in the cold weather. It came in quite handy!

We went to the mall to have my picture taken with Santa but he was pretty scary. I preferred to be with mommy and daddy and with all the girls (Aunt Melissa and Peyton, Kim and Sydney). We all had lunch after at California Pizza Kitchen. I had tortilla soup.

Aunt Mimi and Uncle Joey came to visit me and brought me cool new toys. I love presents.

Since Grammy was recovering from hip surgery, she and I hung out a lot. We had breakfast together everyday.

On the day we left it snowed!
